It’s not often that Morgan shows a concept, let alone a new model, but the British coachbuilder has teased the second image of a new vehicle on its Twitter page. Calling it “the latest evolution of our Aero Range, the Aero 8,” the new model will be shown at the 2015 Geneva auto show this week.

The first teaser image (below) showed a shadowy side profile suggesting a revised roofline compared to the Aero Coupe and Aero Supersports models. The last Aero 8 in 2010 was offered as a roadster, so we're likely looking at the car's hardtop roof in this close-up rear three-quarter shot if the model follows in its namesake's footsteps.

For more than 100 years, the majority of cars leaving the family-owned outfit have been based around a wooden frame covered in aluminum. The Morgan Aero Coupe, however, features a full aluminum chassis, while the Aero Supersports has a layer of ash hardwood sandwiched between the chassis and aluminum body. With a BMW-sourced 367-hp 4.8-liter V-8 providing power, the automaker says the Aero Supersports and Aero Coupe can reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. No details of the upcoming model’s chassis or powertrain have been revealed yet.
