Waiting in the wings is a potential replacement for the old CTS Wagon. GM brass is considering bringing a wagon back to its American line-up, and the question is which brand should get it.

Research

GMC is out, and Chevy and Buick could easily port over foreign market product. We thought Cadillac would be the logical fit, particularly with the ATS and CTS, but product boss Mark Reuss tells us that while a station wagon may be in the cards, it may not be a Cadillac. He also suggested that the mystery wagon could include both manual transmission and diesel engine options. 2014 Cadillac CTS V Wagon© Provided by MotorTrend 2014 Cadillac CTS V Wagon

Lexus RC 200t Coming, Subaru Working on A7-Like Legacy

As we previously reported, Lexus is getting a new SUV rather than an RC convertible, but the RC is getting some love in the form of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The forthcoming IS 200t turbocharged four-cylinder variant is a poorly kept secret, but no one is talking RC yet. Well, now we are. It’s coming, and like the IS 200t, the RC 200t will use the brand’s all-new motor which debuted in the NX 200t crossover. 2015 Lexus RC F© Provided by MotorTrend 2015 Lexus RC F

In other Japanese automaker news, Subaru was rumored to be working on an Audi A7-like variant of the Impreza to replace the dearly missed hatchback. But now we're hearing it’ll actually be a Legacy variant. Timing remains unknown.
