Mystery Lamborghini Teased Before 2014 Paris Auto Show

Lamborghini is teasing a new model ahead of the 2014 Paris auto show. Although few details can be made out from the sketch, the silhouette could preview a brand new concept or the production version of the Lamborghini Urus SUV the automaker has been showing for the past two years.

A small caption below the sketch simply says, “Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it.” That caption could indeed refer to the four-seat Urus crossover, which has twice as many seats as the Aventador and Huracan supercars, or the fact that Lamborghini wants to increase its sales from around 1600-1700 units a year to around 5000 units a year. A new model would have to sell around 3300 units to accomplish that -- something a daily-drivable family vehicle could help achieve.

While powertrain details haven’t been revealed, the Lamborghini Urus will use the same Volkswagen Group modular chassis that underpins the next Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.

Although the Urus has been confirmed for production, the sketch could be of a new sedan or possibly a front-engine coupe. Before the Urus, the automaker showed the 2+2 Estoque sedan concept.
