Following the Super Bowl two weekends ago, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named the game's MVP, and awarded the keys to a new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. But as we reported last week, Brady planned on giving the midsize pickup to teammate Malcolm Butler, who secured the win for the Patriots with an interception in the game's final moments. Chevrolet presented the truck to the rookie player today at a dealership in Norwood, Mass.

With Brady being an NFL superstar with a contract worth millions of dollars and Butler being an undrafted rookie, the truck is going to the player who will likely appreciate it most. USA Today reports the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado will replace an older-model Chevy SUV, which Butler purchased for under $8000 last summer. Before he landed on the Patriots' roster, Butler didn't own a car at all. The overnight football star couldn't have scored a better new pickup, as we named the Colorado our 2015 Truck of the Year.

According to Butler's agent, the rookie will pay taxes on the truck now that he's taken delivery.
