The late IndyCar driver Justin Wilson will be remembered at what promises to be a very emotional racing event this weekend.

For every lap that Honda runs at the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma, the automaker will donate money to benefit Wilson's surviving children. Honda will donate $50 per lap for each of the 13 Honda entries at this weekend's race, for a maximum possible donation of $55,000 to the Wilson Children's Fund. Although Wilson is no longer with us, his No. 25 Honda will remain on the track, driven by IndyCar veteran Oriol Servia.

"I have an enormous amount of respect for him as a racer, but his qualities as a human were definitely an inspiration to anyone who ever met him," said Servia, who had raced with Wilson for over 10 years, in a release. "He will be greatly missed as we all try to emulate his spirit."

Wilson passed away on August 24 from injuries sustained during a racing accident the day before. Another car slid out of control and spewed debris while hitting a retaining wall. One piece of debris hit Wilson in the head.

All proceeds from commemorative decals and T-shirts honoring Wilson will go directly to the Wilson Children's Fund. Those who want to contribute can also mail a donation to:
