Many of the wild concepts shown at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show never see life outside the Las Vegas convention center, but a tuned Ford Mustang GT shown by Petty's Garage is one exception. Ford dealerships will sell just 143 units of the modified Mustang -- 100 in standard Stage 1 trim and another 43 with the wilder Stage 2 option.

Petty's Garage showed a modified 2015 Ford Mustang GT last November at the 2014 SEMA show, and now has partnered with Ford to make an extremely limited run of the car. The Stage 1 version of the Petty's Garage Ford Mustang GT packs a new Ford Racing/Roush supercharger for its 5.0-liter V-8 engine, pushing power from 435 hp to 627 hp, along with new 20-inch wheels, a MagnaFlow exhaust, and a new cold-air intake. Visually, the Ford Mustang GT benefits from new front and rear fascias, a center-exit exhaust, a larger rear spoiler, embroidered headrests and floor mats, and Richard Petty's signature on the dashboard.

Only 42 of the Stage 2 cars are still up for grabs, as AC/DC star Brian Johnson has already reserved the first one.

Pricing for the Stage 1 starts at $62,210, while the Stage 2 car costs $92,210. Those prices represent pretty big hikes over the $33,125 starting price of a 2015 Ford Mustang GT coupe.
