Plum Crazy Paint Color Returns for 2016 Dodge Challenger, Charger

Dodge is reintroducing an iconic paint color for the 2016 Dodge Challenger coupe and 2016 Dodge Charger sedan. First introduced in 1970, Plum Crazy returns to the Mopar muscle cars on a wide range of trim levels from the base V-6 model to the top-of-the-line SRT Hellcat.

The automaker will display the vibrant hue on a new 2016 Dodge Challenger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and a new 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack at the Dodge display at 13 Mile and Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak, Mich.

2016 Dodge Challenger R T Plus Shaker Engine© Provided by MotorTrend 2016 Dodge Challenger R T Plus Shaker Engine Plum Crazy will be available on most 2016 Dodge Challenger models including Challenger SXT Plus with the 305-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6; Challenger R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Classic, R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker with the 375-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V-8; Challenger R/T Scat Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and SRT 392 with the 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V-8; and the Challenger SRT Hellcat with the 707-hp supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8.

Charger models available in Plum Crazy include the Charger SXT with 20-inch wheels and the 292- or 300-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6; Charger R/T and R/T Road & Track with 370-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V-8; 485-hp Charger R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392; and Charger SRT Hellcat.

Dodge will take orders for presold Plum Crazy 2016 Dodge Challenger or Charger models in September with regular dealer orders beginning in October through the end of the year.
