Chrysler Group is recalling almost 50,000 Dodge Charger sedans due to a possible issue with numerous headlight components. The recall, which affects model year 2011 and 2012 vehicles, is similar to the one issued a few years ago for the Dodge Charger Police Vehicle.

The Problem: The automaker says affected vehicles may have headlights components that could overheat, preventing the low-beam lights to illuminate.

The Fix: If necessary, the automaker will replace free of charge a number of components including the headlamp jumper harness, bulbs, and headlamp assemblies.

Number of Vehicles Potentiallly Affected:Chrysler Group estimates 49,400 model year 2011 to 2012 Charger sedans are affected, with most of them located in the U.S.
