2011-2014 Dodge Charger

FCA says the sensors are more sensitive than normal, which could cause the airbag to inadvertently deploy if the doors are kicked or slammed shut with excessive force. The issue also affects the seatbelt pre-tensioner. FCA attributes three possible minor injuries, but no accidents to the issue.

The Fix: FCA will notify owners to schedule a service appointment. The sensors will be recalibrated free of charge. In the meantime, owners are advised to carefully shut the doors.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: The recall affects 284,153 vehicles in the U.S. FCA says an additional 13,169 vehicles are located in Canada, while another 24,756 vehicles are affected in other regions.

The issue could eventually cause the ball joint to separate from the lower control arm, resulting in a loss of steering and the possibility of a crash.

The Fix: Mazda will notify owners next month. Mazda will replace both the front left and right lower control arms free of charge. The recall will be remedied in multiple phases. First, Mazda will fix model-year 2007-2009 CX-9 crossovers registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Next, Mazda will fix model-year 2010-2014 vehicles in the aforementioned states before taking care of the remainder of affected CX-9s. For more info, owners can contact Mazda at 800-222-5500.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: The recall affects 193,484 vehicles.
