MotorTend Image© Provided by MotorTrend MotorTend Image Nissan has released the second teaser video for the redesigned Titan pickup. While the previous 2016 Nissan Titan "Truckumentary" teaser video focused on the development of the full-size pickup, the latest video asserts that the truck was developed in America for U.S. buyers.

Research

Places where the truck was developed include California, Michigan, Arizona, Mississippi, and Tennessee as well as Indiana where the available Cummins turbodiesel engine will be produced. The video was also released with the hashtag #CumminsSoon.

So far, the automaker has only confirmed the Cummins 5.0-liter turbodiesel V-8 for the redesigned 2016 Nissan Titan, though we expect an updated version of the automaker's 5.6-liter V-8 to return. The smaller Frontier pickup's 4.0-liter V-6 could possibly serve as a base engine. The 5.0-liter Cummins is expected to make around 300 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. The 5.6-liter gasoline V-8 makes 317 hp and 385 lb-ft in the current truck, while the 4.0-liter engine makes 261 hp and 281 lb-ft in the Frontier.

Like the current model, we expect King Cab (extended cab) and Crew Cab models to return with standard and long boxes and with rear- or four-wheel-drive as well as various levels of comfort from a basic workhorse to near premium car luxury.

The next-generation 2016 Nissan Titan will be shown at the 2015 Detroit auto show in January. Check out the latest Nissan Titan teaser video as well as the original teaser below.
