Like other Shelby continuation models, the Shelby Cobra 427 50th Anniversary will be sold as a rolling chassis sans drivetrain and come with a 1965 MSO (manufacturer’s statement of origin). Serial numbers will range from CSX4500 to CSX4599.

The Shelby Cobra 427 50th Anniversary models will be finished in Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes and a black leather interior. Although the cars will be true to the original models, they will be updated with premium interior materials on the seats, carpet, and dash, as well as modern racing disc brakes and a stronger frame. The 50th anniversary models will also feature unique interior and exterior badges. Other standard upgrades include a 23-gallon racing-style fuel tank, powder-coated frame, and custom gauges. Shelby Engine Company is also developing an optional special engine package for the 50th anniversary cars. The original cars’ body shape and independent suspension remain.

Pricing for the Shelby Cobra 427 50th Anniversary continuation model will start at $119,995 for a fiberglass body and $179,995 with an aluminum body. The component cars will be sold as a rolling chassis sans drivetrain, which will be sourced by the new owners. As with other continuation cars, the 50th anniversary cars will be documented in the Shelby World Registry. Shelby built just 343 original big block Cobras in the 1960s.
