Looks like the McLaren P1 GTR will be sharing the spotlight at the Geneva Motor Show with another new McLaren model. Teased today on McLaren Automotive’s Facebook page is a camouflaged test mule, which the automaker says is a “track-focused development of the 650S.”

Rumors of a hotter 650S variant have circulated for a while now. Last summer we heard about a lightweight version of the 650S, possibly called the 650S GTS. Meanwhile, Autocar reports that the new model will actually be named 675 LT. That name makes sense because the car is rumored to make 666 hp or 675 PS, which is short for Pferdestärke, the common standard for power in Europe. That power, of course, will come from the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8 used in the 650S.

Not much else is known about the model, other than it will slot between the 650S and the P1. Unlike the track-only 650S GT3, the new model is expected to be road-legal, though it could feature a few goodies from the GT3 racer. Expect a reduction in curb weight, too, compared to the roughly 3100-pound 650S.

Following the Geneva show, McLaren is slated to unveil its new Sport Series. This model will slot below the 650S and is expected to rival higher-performance variants of the Porsche 911 in performance and in price. Look for the Sports Series to bow at the 2015 New York Auto Show this April.
