The Cadillac ATS-V is only weeks away from debuting at the 2014 Los Angeles auto show, but spy photographers have just given us an early look after catching the coupe variant completely uncamouflaged during a photo shoot.

We can now see the two-door ATS-V's real front fascia, which doesn't feature the grille with vertical slats that we've seen on previous ATS-V testers. That piece was likely added to throw us off the scent, hiding the car's actual mesh grille beneath that features a slit at the top of the chrome surround. The front valance is also clearly visible, with a wide intake opening and carbon fiber lip. The hood features a modest power bulge along with integrated heat extractor vents.

In back, we see a quad-tipped exhaust system with large, round tailpipes, along with a decklid spoiler. The hotter Caddy rides on large split five-spoke wheels that appear to be wrapped in some serious rubber. The car will need it, as it's expected to debut with a twin-turbo V-6 tuned to around 425 hp, which would match its rival, the BMW M4. The engine is presumed to be derived from the twin-turbo 3.6-liter found in the Cadillac CTS Vsport. We've also heard that the high-performance ATS will get the seven-speed manual from the C7 Corvette, along with an eight-speed auto option and eventually a dual-clutch. The majority of ATS-V prototypes we've seen have been sedans, so expect there to be a four-door variant in L.A. as well.

Many details about the Cadillac ATS-V are still unknown at this point, but luckily we only have to wait about a month until the L.A. auto show to find out more.
