Spied: Bentley Bentayga Sheds Camo for Spring

Our spy photographers have once again spotted the Bentley Bentayga, this time shedding some of its camo and revealing its true shape.

The last time we saw this ultra-lux SUV out testing, its headlights were heavily camouflaged. Now, only a thin layer of foil remains, giving us a better look at what to expect. Looking at the rest of the vehicle, you can also see thin foil covering the lights and small rear window, although its overall shape is now much clearer. Unfortunately, one of the test drivers was standing in the way preventing us from getting a full look at the SUV. Our sources say that Bentley's first-ever SUV is almost ready for production. Not only is it lightly camouflaged, but Bentley also took care to protect the interior. In this prototype, plastic covers on the seats prevent the soft leather from tarnishing.

Bentley hasn't yet announced powertrain details, but we expect the model will feature a version of the brand's 4.0-liter V-8 or a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W-12 for around 600 hp. It will share a platform with other large SUVs from the Volkswagen Group, including the Audi Q7 and next-generation Porsche Cayenne. The Bentayga will go on sale in 2016.
