The price of entry for the upcoming 2015 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, the automaker’s second go at combining four-door practicality with coupe-like styling, has been set at $41,225. That price is for the 428i Gran Coupe, and includes the $925 destination charge.

Folks needing all-wheel drive can opt for the 2015 428i xDrive Gran Coupe, which is priced at $43,225, while the range-topping 435i Gran Coupe will cost $46,725. BMW is holding off on releasing complete pricing details on packages and options, but expect them to appear before the 2015 4 Series Gran Coupe arrives in showrooms this summer.

Like the 3 Series sedan and the two-door 4 Series coupe, the 4 Series Gran Coupe will be offered in three trim levels. First is the Sport Line, distinguishable by black exterior trim pieces, 18 or 19-inch rims, and red interior accents. Next up is the Luxury Line, which gets chrome exterior details and fancier wheel designs. Finally, the 4 Series Gran Coupe can be had in M Sport trim that adds an aggressive-looking front bumper and two exclusive paint colors dubbed Carbon Black Metallic and Estoril Blue Metallic.

The list of options and packages should be extensive. Among them will be full LED headlights, an M Sport suspension system, a head-up display, and advanced safety technologies like a blind spot and lane departure warning system.

The 2015 BMW 428i Gran Coupe and 428i xDrive Gran Coupe are powered by the familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 making 240 hp. Meanwhile, the 435i Gran Coupe gets a 300-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo I-6. Your first chance to get an up-close look at the 2015 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will come this April, when the automaker displays it at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.
