All good things come to an end, and that adage has never been truer than with the passing of the Bugatti Veyron. Now that over 430 of the 450 models in the Veyron's limited production run have been sold, Bugatti is looking into a successor to the supercar -- and it reportedly has three different concepts in development.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Bugatti is testing out three potential successors, and at least one of them has an electric motor. As we previously reported, the next-generation car will be lighter and may come with an engine that is 25 percent stronger than the Veyron's top 1200-hp 8.0-liter W-16 beast. Though we don't know what the concepts look like, whatever ends up replacing the Veyron will make its debut at the end of next year or early 2016, sources close to VW say.

The latest news on the Bugatti Veyron successor comes just as its parent company, Volkswagen Group, makes cutbacks on its mass-market brands. VW CEO Martin Winterkorn previously said Volkswagen-brand cutbacks will help increase profitability for the namesake brand. We now know cost reductions are also in the works for Audi.
