Yesterday, Tesla announced the biggest change to the Model S since its debut: the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive D range. The models' specs are impressive, but can you really compare a Tesla to a Charger Hellcat? If you're looking at just horsepower, yes you can. The range-topping Tesla P85D pumps out 691 hp and 687 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a second motor powering the front axle, while the Charger SRT Hellcat delivers an incredible 707 horses and 650 lb-ft. But the question remains: which one would you choose?

The 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat seems like it would be the ideal choice, as the SRT name is known for performance, and with a base price around $63,000, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8, the Charger hits 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, according to Dodge. The Charger also has its gasoline-fed engine going for it, which produces a throaty engine growl to the Tesla's restrained hum. 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat© Provided by MotorTrend 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Switching gears to the all-new Tesla P85D, there's definitely a lot to be excited about. With only a 10-mile range hit compared to the P85+, this new model boasts performance numbers that would make some supercars blush. Thanks to its dual motors, the P85D isn't far off the pace with the likes of the mighty Nissan GT-R, with an estimated 0-60 mph time of just 3.2 seconds. However, we feel that number may shrink in real-world tests. This AWD model will have a base price well over $100,000, as the 85D models will have a $4000 premium over the rear-wheel drive models, but the P85D will tack on another $14,000.

We leave it to you: Which sedan with around 700 hp would you pick?
