Not only does the aluminum shell reduce the truck’s weight by about 500-700 pounds, but Ford claims the 6000 series alloy will be just as tough as the outgoing steel body. We also pointed out the truck’s new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, which is relatively light and strong thanks to its graphite iron cylinder block.

Then there are items to improve convenience. A new BoxLink system improves cargo management, while a segment-first 360-degree camera should be a must-have items for those who purchase a SuperCrew cab body combined with a larger box. Ford also improved the tailgate step, which is better integrated into the tailgate and features a new design that makes it easier to operate. Do any of the aforementioned items impress you??? Or is it something else? Sound off in the comments below.
