Maserati just announced it will unveil a concept car that will “give a nod to the style of Maseratis of the next 100 years.” It’s a bold statement and we’re curious to see what the Italian automaker has up its sleeve. That said, we want to know what you think Maserati should show off at next week’s show for today's Thread of the Day.

We’re ruling out four-door sedans as the flagship Quattroporte and the midsize Ghilbi are the brand’s newest models. The GranTurismo has been on the market for about seven years, so it’s quite possible that Maserati is ready to show off the two-door’s replacement.

Maserati could also unveil something more extreme, perhaps a successor to the MC12 race car that was first unveiled at the Geneva show a decade ago. The MC12 had a limited 50-unit production run and racked up a number of wins in the FIA’s GT1 class. Maybe Maserati is considering the return of the two-seater Spyder, which would slot nicely below the 2+2 GranTurismo. What should Maserati show off? What do you want to see from Maserati? Let us know in the comments below.
