Detroit had a strong showing this year. Not only did Cadillac show off the much-anticipated CTS-V, but it went ahead and showed off the awesome CTS-V.R race car as well. Chevrolet teased off-road enthusiasts with its diesel-poweredColorado ZR2 concept, while Ford came up big with the Shelby GT350 Mustang and fantastic-sounding 5.2-liter flat-plane V-8.

The Germans revealed some big toys, starting with Mercedes and its Maybach S600uber-luxury sedan. Meanwhile, Audi showed off the future of its design language with the Prologue concept, and in the BMW there were the quick and burly X5 M and X6 M twins. Volkswagen had fun torturing many of us with the Golf R Variant wagon, which hasn't been announced for the U.S. yet, despite a U.S. debut. And from the U.K. we had Jaguar, which deserves a standing ovation for bolting a manual transmission to its V-6-powered F-Type lineup.

Of course, there were less flashy, yet still significant, debuts as well. Honda, for example, showed off the new HR-V subcompact crossover that’ll battle with the Mazda CX-3, while Ford unveiled the refreshed 2016 Explorer.

That said, check out the full list below and sound off in the comments section. And head to our 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show page (HERE) for details on every debut.
