With the Academy Awards on Sunday, and our Top 10 Movie Cars in Supporting Roles story going up this morning, we thought it'd be a great time to get into the Oscar spirit and revisit the topic of movie cars. Throughout the years, there've been a number of movie cars that have genuinely became stars in their own right, like the Delorean DMC-12 from "Back to the Future," the "Eleanor" Ford Mustang from "Gone in 60 Seconds," and the Pontiac Trans Am from "Smokey and the Bandit." For today's Thread of the Day, we've got a tough question for you: what's your favorite movie car of all time?

There are quite a few movie car favorites around the office. A few staffers proclaim the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger from "Bullitt's" legendary chase scene as their favorite movie car of all time. The 1959 Cadillac Ecto 1 ambulance that starred in "Ghostbusters" is also a favorite among staffers. Other picks include the BMW M5 from "Ronin," and the Dodge Challenger from "Vanishing Point."

What's your favorite movie car of all time? Sound off with your pick in the comments below.
