TOTD: Which Opel Should Buick Get?

Buick is going to be expanding its U.S. lineup with the help of GM's German arm Opel. News broke this morning that Opel will be building a Buick for North America at one of its German plants. The only problem is that GM isn't exactly saying which Opel it's going to be slapping a Buick badge on.

Research

We speculated this morning that the most likely recipient of the Buick badge will be the Opel Adam. The pint-sized city car has been well-received by world audiences, and the little car is actually going to go on sale in China as the Buick Adam. Plus, given Buick's current U.S. lineup, the Adam seems to be the model that fits in best.

But there are other possibilities, too. While the Insignia is already sold in the U.S. as the Buick Regal, the station wagon version, or the Insignia Country Tourer -- an Audi Allroad- or Subaru Outback-style wagon with higher ground clearance -- could possibly fit in the Buick lineup as well. Other models, like the Opel Ampera or Opel Antara, aren't likely given the fact that both are sold as Chevrolets here in the U.S. The Opel-badged Buick could also conceivably be a model that hasn't been officially announced yet, like the production version of the beautiful Opel Monza concept.

Below is a list of Opel's current European lineup. Which model do you most want to see at Buick dealers nationwide? Sound off on today's Thread of the Day in the comments below.

Opel's current lineup consists of:

Opel Adam

Opel Agila (Opel-badged Suzuki Swift)

Opel Ampera ( Chevrolet Volt)
