The first day of the 2014 New York Auto Show is in the books, with plenty of significant production cars unveiled to the public. Among them is the refreshed 2015 Toyota Camry, which showcases drastically reworked styling, an improved interior, and over 2000 new parts to improve road noise and handling. The 2015 Camry also gets a new XSE model, which is even sportier than the already popular Camry SE.

Meanwhile, the 2015 Hyundai Sonatahas also been redone. The Sonata has lost many of its curves inside and out in favor of sharper lines. In addition to more advanced tech, engineers put a lot of effort into improving the 2015 Sonata’s driving dynamics, reworking the suspension, brakes, and steering system.

Powertrains for both cars are essentially unchanged. The Camry’s base engine is a 178-hp 2.5-liter I-4, while a 3.5-liter V-6 is rated at 268 hp. A 185-hp 2.4-liter I-4 is the cheapest way into a Sonata and a 245-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four has been tweaked for improved responsiveness. Both cars also boast improved technology. The Camry, for example, can now be had with an available wireless charging system for personal devices, while the Sonata will offer Apple’s new CarPlay technology.

That said, which refreshed sedan would you pick? Sound off below and don’t miss our full coverage of the 2014 New York Auto Show HERE.
