The Problem: The low-beam headlight bulbs in affected vehicles may come loose, lose electrical contact, and fail to illuminate. This may happen due to the impact and vibration from the hood being closed too roughly. A warning light in the instrument panel should alert the driver.

The Fix:Volkswagen will install an improved bulb fitting. Dealers will also inspect the hood to ensure it doesn’t come into contact with the headlight assembly. Volkswagen will adjust or replace the hood if necessary.
