Although Carlos Lago drove the 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari a year ago, the Italian hybrid supercar has eluded Motor Trend's test equipment. On this episode of "Ignition," Lago finally tests the LaFerrari's acceleration times and times it on a lap around the challenging Fiorano circuit.

The 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari is powered by a naturally aspirated 789-hp 6.3-liter V-12 mated to a 161-hp electric motor. Total system output is rated 950 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sends power to the rear wheels exclusively. On three successive passes, the La Ferrari ran the quarter mile in an uncorrected 9.96 seconds at 148 mph. Corrected, the hybrid supercar hit 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and finished the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds at 148.5 mph and hit 150 mph in 10 seconds flat. The LaFerrari also pulled 1.0 g from 0-65 mph.

After graphing the LaFerrari's acceleration times against the Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 918 Spyder, and McLaren P1, Lago laps Fiorano to see how close he can come to Ferrari's 1:19.7 lap record.
