Headed to Hong Kong: Infiniti Establishes Global Headquarters in Southern China : Three years ago, Infiniti began the process of moving its headquarters form Yokohama, Japan to Hong Kong. This was part of a larger plan to increase sales in the world's largest auto market. And it looks like its plan was successful. Last year, Infiniti sales in China surged 54 percent, and during the first half of 2014, Infiniti doubled sales in China every single month. Subsequently, other automakers also made controversy by moving their headquarters. Toyota announced it would move its U.S. headquarters to Texas, while Cadillac made the move from Detroit to New York. 2012-infiniti-fx-front© Provided by MotorTrend 2012-infiniti-fx-front

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK250 Diesel Debuts in Europe – Should it Come Here? : Just a few years ago, the concept of a diesel roadster in the U.S. seemed incomprehensible -- and not a whole lot has changed on that front. We have seen diesels gain a bit more traction since then, with a Chevrolet Cruze diesel, BMW 328d, Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel, and others arriving recently. Perhaps unsurprisingly, we still haven't seen a SLK250 diesel here in the 'States.

Ford Launches Focus EV Configurator – Get Yours for $39,995 : Ford introduced an electric version of the Focus hatchback for the 2012 model year. Back then, it cost $39,995, or the same price of a Chevrolet Volt. Today, both cars are available for much lower prices. In 2013, Ford slashed the price of the Focus Electric, until cutting it again in the past few weeks. Buyers can now get one for $29,995, before federal tax credits. 2012-ford-focus-electric-driving-2© Provided by MotorTrend 2012-ford-focus-electric-driving-2

Kia Thinks Sporty for 2011 SEMA Show Stand : Kia has been known in recent years for its creative approach to vehicle styling (take the Soul for example). But the automaker really made a splash at 2011's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. A number of surf- and sports-related concepts debuted, including an Optima Hybrid with basketball court-like flooring and a customized Michelle Wie Hole-In-One Soul. This year, Kia is going all out with a Soul EV ice cream truck and a Sedona mobile bar. 2012-kia-optima-hybrid-pacecar-front-three-quarter© Provided by MotorTrend 2012-kia-optima-hybrid-pacecar-front-three-quarter
