The parade of ultra-limited Aston Martin reveals continues, as Zagato recently debuted its one-off Virage Shooting Brake. Built for a customer in Europe, the sleek, hatch-equipped two-door is yet another wagon-like vehicle you can't have.

The car was commissioned by a European client who wanted a modern collectible. The shooting brake design draws on both Zagato's and Aston Martin's heritage. Aston Martin first offered the body style beginning in the early '90s, though custom coachbuilders had been modifying examples of the DB5, DB6, and DBS since the '60s. In 1995, Zagato introduced its Mercedes-Benz S600 V12 Shooting Brake.

Zagato says it drew inspiration from the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Volante of the mid-1980s, which explains the more upright front end. Zagato also says the one-off Virage Shooting Brake bookends a trilogy of cars that pay tribute to Aston's 100th anniversary, with the other two being the DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial and DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial.

Zagato also didn't disclose the one-off model's cost, but given its exclusivity you can bet it's somewhere in the range of "more than you can afford, pal."
