2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA Starts at $32,225, Configurator Goes Live

For those who have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA, pricing information has finally been revealed. As shown on the recently launched online configurator, the compact crossover with all-wheel drive starts at $34,225, including destination. The front-drive GLA250, which arrives later, will start at $32,225.

The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive model when spec'd out to the nines costs nearly $50,000. We started by choosing the $3950 designo Mountain Grey Magno matte paint color and adding the $2200 Sport Package that includes sport body styling, 19-inch AMG wheels, and perforated front brakes with painted brake calipers. We also threw in the panoramic sunroof ($1480) and bi-xenon headlights and taillights ($850). Other added niceties on our GLA250 4MATIC include dual-zone automatic climate control, media interface, and heated front seats, all of which came as part of the $2300 Premium package. We also checked the 7-inch display, navigation, and rearview camera option boxes, which were are all bundled in the $2480 Multimedia Package. Our GLA was equipped with driver assistance technologies such as blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist, which are included in the Driver Assistance Package that costs $2500. After all was said and done, our generously equipped GLA cost $49,510.

If you're looking to spend that much on the 2015 GLA-Class, you could also opt for the GLA45 AMG, which starts at $49,225. The AMG treatment includes a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 that makes 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque compared to the regular GLA250's 208 hp and 258 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, though the AMG variant comes standard with sporty features such as the AMG exhaust, sport seats, and a tuned suspension. All GLA models come standard with Bluetooth connectivity, stop-start system, power liftgate, attention assist, adaptive braking, and collision prevention assist plus.
