The Limited Edition replaces the existing 1.8T Wolfsburg and SE trims, and packs plenty of standard equipment for its starting price of $24,815 with destination.

The 2015 Volkswagen Passat Limited Edition comes standard with the car’s 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed automatic transmission and costs $1,555 more than the base Passat S. However, Volkswagen says the Limited Edition offers $2,755 more in standard features, because its feature content is essentially the same as the outgoing Passat SE. The Limited Edition has 17-inch alloy wheels, pushbutton start and keyless access, leatherette seats that are heated in front, a backup camera, foglights, and a touchscreen radio with XM radio capability as standard. The rest of the 2015 Volkswagen Passat's trim levels remain the same, including the TDI diesel variants, the 1.8T Sport, and the V-6 SEL Premium.

The 2015 Volkswagen Passat Limited Edition will go on sale within the next few weeks, and sales of this model should last until we see a refreshed 2016 Passat reach dealerships later this year or in early 2016. This new model is expected to be a significant change for Volkswagen’s midsize sedan as the company focuses in on four core models in the U.S.: the Passat, the Jetta, and two new crossovers scheduled to debut within the next few years. Stay tuned to hear more about the next Volkswagen Passat as we near its debut later in 2015.
