Motoring Research Logo By John Moroney of Motoring Research | Slide 2 of 11: Chrysler’s 300 series returns for 2018 with a new naming convention, new amenities, and a big standard power boost for the 300C model. To align with its Chrysler Pacifica corporate sibling, the 300 trim levels have been repositioned. Touring is the new entry-level model and comes with cloth seats and 17-inch alloy wheels. Along with Touring L and Limited, it comes with a 292-horsepower V6 mated to rear- or all-wheel drive. The sporting 300S and top-of-the-line 300C are both powered by Chrysler’s 363- horsepower, 5.7-liter Hemi V8 coupled to rear-wheel drive only. New options for 2018 include a sport or chrome appearance package for the Touring model, BeatsAudio for the 300S, Harman Kardon premium audio, and a dual-pane sunroof, power sunshade, and navigation for the Limited and 300C. The 300 is also offered with Chrysler’s SafetyTec Plus package: adaptive cruise control with full stop feature, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic detection, and forward collision warning.
