Death Toll Rises To 10 In Immigrant Smuggling Case

Home Births Generally Safe--But Not Every Woman

Some women really want to give birth at home. Normally, that's fine. But for some, a new study suggests it can be risky. Some women can have issues that increase the risk of complications, but are still likely to do well in home births. Those problems include being over 35, being overweight, or having already had a vaginal birth after a cesarean delivery. But according to UPI, other risk factors are more dangerous. For example, a breech presentation--when the baby is coming out feet first. Those women may fare worse trying to deliver outside a hospital.
