Debunking the week's tabloid stories: Jan. 11, 2019

Gwen Stefani calling off Blake Shelton wedding?

Gwen Stefani is calling off her wedding to Blake Shelton despite being pregnant with his baby, reveals OK!. According to the magazine, the No Doubt singer recently got pregnant following several rounds of IVF treatments and was planning to marry Shelton on his Oklahoma ranch, but that all changed when he “started acting distant and noncommittal about finalizing the details.”

A source tells the magazine Shelton eventually “admitted he had cold feet after two failed marriages,” and Stefani decided “to nix the wedding.” “She’s been in tears ever since,” adds the insider. “Part of it could be pregnancy hormones, but she’s also nursing a broken heart. Gwen thinks Blake is making lame excuses after three years together.”

Nothing about this story is remotely true. Stefani and Shelton are not even engaged, nor is she pregnant. Plus, Stefani’s rep tells Gossip Cop the article is entirely “untrue.”

Actually, OK! can’t keep track of its phony stories about the couple. One year ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Stefani was already pregnant and married to Shelton. Before that we corrected the magazine for falsely claiming Shelton had “dumped” Stefani. And before that, Gossip Cop called out the publication for making up a story about Shelton and Stefani having twins.

It’s clear the outlet doesn’t have any real sources close to Stefani and Shelton. This latest article surrounding a pregnancy and canceled wedding is simply more fiction.
