Debunking the week's tabloid stories: July 7, 2017

Gossip Cop Logo Gossip Cop | Slide 1 of 5: NHL player Mike Fisher (L) and musician Carrie Underwood attend the 2016 CMT Music awards at the Bridgestone Arena on June 8, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carrie Underwood's marriage is in trouble

Carrie Underwood's marriage to Mike Fisher is exploding, reveals OK!. According to the magazine, the couple's relationship is "on the rocks,” and they may be "heading toward a split."

Although the outlet acknowledges the pair just "rang in their seventh wedding anniversary," the publication notes their "onetime idyllic marriage is on thin ice." A friend tells the outlet, "They're living separate lives."

"Carrie cleared her schedule this year to spend more time at home so they could work on their relationship, but Mike is never around. It seems like he's simply lost interest in her," explains the magazine's tipster, who adds that Underwood and Fisher are "romantically out of sync" and "often end up sleeping in different rooms."

So, why haven't they divorced yet? "Carrie's Christian values make it difficult for her to simply throw in the towel," says OK!, giving Underwood's faith as an excuse for why the couple is still together.

But it’s not true. Gossip Cop is told she and Fisher remain a couple because they are actually happy and in love. In fact, two days before the tabloid’s cover story was published, Underwood and Fisher both paid loving tribute to each other on Instagram, celebrating their marriage and happily looking toward the future.
