The Blast reported on Aug. 10 that the Los Angeles Superior Court is threatening to dismiss the pair's divorce if they don't file the terms of their settlement soon. According to the webloid, Ben and Jen are actually close to wrapping things up but have yet to seal the deal. On Aug. 15, Us Weekly shed some light on why: "Jen wanted to give Ben the time and opportunity to work on his health and sobriety [before the divorce]," said a source, adding that the actress "isn't in a rush" to making things final. According to the insider, Jen wants her ex to "be the best father he can be" and "wants what's best" for their three kids. "Jen just isn't willing to settle the custody issues until she's 100 percent certain that he's clean," continued the Us Weekly source. "She'll wait for him to prove he is taking it very seriously."
