Nearly two months after her devastating pregnancy loss, Chrissy Teigen is seeking solace in the arms of her mother, Vilailuck, and daughter, Luna.

Sharing a photo of a cozy, multi-generational couch snuggle on Saturday, Nov. 21, Chrissy seemed to be addressing Luna, 4, when she wrote, "one day I will tell you the recent story of the hardest 4 days of my life. for now, here's me needing my mommy," on Instagram.

Since the day her pregnancy complications began in late September, the "Cravings" author has shared her experience on social media with unflinching candor — from her initial hospitalization to the many blood transfusions she endured to the severe grief she and her husband, John Legend, faced when it became clear their unborn son, Jack, would not survive because of a partial placenta abruption when Chrissy was about 20 weeks along.

The loss of a pregnancy has traditionally been something families keep hidden, putting the burden of grief on the mother to bear alone with the expectation she won't discuss it. Instead, Chrissy used her own experience to chip away at that stigma by sharing photos of herself, John and Vilailuck as they said "goodbye" to Jack from the hospital — a brave move that sparked widespread praise.

There were also critics who questioned her motives, though. Chrissy addressed those in a lengthy Medium post about what she was going through and why she needed pictures of the goodbye-moment.

"… these photos aren't for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like," she wrote last month on Medium. "These photos are only for the people who need them."

Chrissy's Instagram post on Saturday indicated she's still wrestling with difficult emotions from what she called "the hardest 4 days" of her life, and judging from the hundreds of supportive comments, her fans appreciated the fact that she was continuing to be real about the pain of losing a baby.

She's also been open about the process of moving forward.

As she wrote in her Medium post, "People say an experience like this creates a hole in your heart. A hole was certainly made, but it was filled with the love of something I loved so much. "

Chrissy added, "It doesn't feel empty, this space. It feels full."
