The Bachelorette runner-up Arie Luyendyk Jr. has decided to focus on his career as a racecar driver instead of becoming the next Bachelor. Emily Maynard's former suitor became a favorite on the past season of The Bachelorette, sending the hearts of fans racing and insisting he should be the show's next Bachelor. However, Luyendyk has decided to reignite his career in Indy Car racing and has turned down the opportunity to find love on TV once again. The 30 year old released a statement that reads: "The Bachelorette was an amazing experience but I will not continue with The Bachelor; ultimately I realized my heart is tied to the race track and my career is my main priority. I'm looking forward to getting back on the track." In 2012, Luyendyk began a stint as an Indy Lights analyst for NBC Sports, but prior to that, he raced in the Indy 500 and started in over 60 Firestone Indy Lights series. The Netherlands-native has his sights set on hitting the racetrack for the 2013 Indy Car season. Although no official decision has been made by Bachelor producers, it is rumored that the final two in the running are Ali Fedotowsky's ex-fiance Roberto Martinez, and Luyendyk's cast mate Sean Lowe, who finished third.
