The Voice coach Blake Shelton has confessed he was close to quitting the hit singing competition due to an overloaded schedule. The country crooner first signed on to NBC's talent show as a fairly successful singer, but after three seasons on The Voice, he has become a glorified star beloved by millions. But due to his non-stop success in 2012, Shelton tells Wetpaint Entertainment that he almost quit TV in order to focus on one career at a time. He admits, "Oh my God. It sucked... I was doing season three of The Voice, season four of The Voice, CMAs, and my Christmas special all within like three weeks of each other. And there was one point where I called my manager, and was like, that's it. I quit. I just quit. Figure it out. I'm going home." But luckily the loveable singer managed to put his accomplishments in perspective, and conceded that everything on his plate right now is for the best. Shelton adds, "It's like you get to that point where you're like, well, okay. We're all learning, figuring out how to balance being a maturing country artist, and then someone that's involved in television now. I never planned on doing this. I don't know if I'll do it once The Voice is over, but I'm having a ball doing it right now."
