Cee Lo Green enlists former Voice contestants on his holiday special

6/13/2014

Cee Lo Green is hoping to take the late Andy Williams' place as the king of the Christmas TV special after enlisting former The Voice contestants to join him onstage for his first annual televised spectacular. The Forget You singer will perform tracks from his new holiday album as part of a TV Guide festive special on 30 November (12), and he has asked 19 of his former The Voice protegees to join him for a sing-along. Those invited include Jamar Rogers, Tony Vincent and Niki Dawson. Green will also perform with special guests Rod Stewart, Eric Benet and the Muppets, who also join him on the album, Cee Lo's Magic Moment. He says, "With a little help from my friends, I've created a classic holiday special that I'm thrilled for the world to watch, and I invite fans to tune in on November 30 to join me while we celebrate this magic moment of the year! I hope to make this an annual holiday special for families to look forward to each year." The one-hour special will be taped in front of a live audience.
