George Clooney ticked off another box on his life makeover To Do list. On Sunday, the Oscar winner celebrated his engagement to British human rights attorney Amal Alamuddin with a small, low-key party in Malibu. The couple marked the occasion at Café Habana, which is owned by Clooney's best friend and business partner, Rande Gerber. Joining in on the festivities was Gerber's wife, Cindy Crawford, along with U2 rockers Bono and The Edge.George, 53, who slipped an emerald-cut, 7-carat sparkler on Alamuddin's finger on April 22, was "relaxed and affectionate" with the brunette lawyer, 36, says People, which notes that the guests enjoyed karaoke (Bono led a sing-along to Oasis' "Wonderwall") and raised a glass of tequila to the couple."After the toast, George and his fiancée were all over each other," relays a source. "Lots of hugging." Clooney kept things casual in a dark-blue pullover and jeans, while Amal sported floral shorts, high heels and a neon-green top that is sure to get stork rumors started in earnest.According to E! News, the restaurant was packed with a Mother's Day crowd, who were delighted to witness the happy event."People got a show they didn't expect," says a source, "and other [diners] said it was the best Mother's Day ever."Meanwhile, the London Daily Mirror claims Clooney wooed Alamuddin with a series of "flirty" emails that poked fun at his two-time Sexiest Man Alive status and her 2013 crowning as London's hottest barrister. One message, supposedly sent after Amal turned George down for a date but that we hope actually sprang from the tabloid's fertile imagination, purportedly read, "I think the reported hottest man in the world should meet with the hottest human rights lawyer in the world."Not what you'd expect from a guy with two Academy Awards nominations for writing.
