'Iron Man 3 Kid Ty Simpkins Set for 'Jurassic World'

By Jeff Sneider

Ty Simpkins, the plucky kid who helped Tony Stark work through his anxiety (and a bit of a terrorist problem) in "Iron Man 3," is set for a lead in Jurassic World.

Colin Trevorrow directs the sequel that Universal has set for June 2015.

Simpkins, who turned 12 on August 6, is the very definition of child actor - he first appeared on TV at 3 weeks old, and has since amassed an IMDB page any 40-year-old would envy, including appearances in the 2005 version of "War of the Worlds" and with his sister Ryan in "Revolutionary Road."
