Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Magic Mike sketch won Channing Tatum's approval

6/17/2014

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was given the seal of approval from Channing Tatum for his Magic Mike-inspired skit on Saturday Night Live. The Looper star was the celebrity host on the hit U.S. TV sketch show in September (12) and thrilled his female fans by stripping off and gyrating with an umbrella to pop hit It's Raining Men. Gordon-Levitt is good friends with Tatum, the star of the stripper movie which inspired the comedy skit, who gave his buddy a thumbs-up for the raunchy performance. Gordon-Levitt tells U.S. talk show host Jay Leno, "We're good friends, we've been in three movies together. He couldn't come, I was going to invite him (to the show) but he was shooting that Saturday night in Montreal. But he emailed me while it was on. In fact he emailed me twice. His first email he was like 'You're killing it' and the second email was 'Humping the floor = amazing'."
