TVOne's new morning news show, Roland S. Martin's "News One Now," will premiere Monday, Nov. 4 at 9 ET, the network announced.

The show will try to differentiate itself from a crowded morning news field by offering news and analysis of politics, entertainment, sports, and culture from an African-American perspective. Martin, the former CNN commentator and "Washington Watch" host, will look at news makers, media stars, authors, celebrities, filmmakers, comedians and others.

Besides airing on TVOne, which targets a 25 and older African-American audience, the Washington-based show will also steam live on Radio One. Each weekday morning, "News One Now" will start its radio programming at 7 ET. Starting at 9 ET, the program will simulcast on TV One.

"Our program will not only keep Black America abreast of major breaking news and hot-button issues, it will also shed light on peripheral stories that spotlight events and individuals making a concentrated, positive impact in our communities," said Martin. "Our audience can not only expect to be informed, but also enlightened and inspired."
