To be a Star Wars fan is essentially a personality trait, and those who are obsessed with the franchise usually look for every way they can relive the action of the films. Lucky for those willing to invest in such experiences, Disney is finally opening up their Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, which fans are sure to love.

Disney is celebrating a lot lately, and not just because folks can finally stream back in to ride Space Mountain and pose with characters. It's the theme park's 50th anniversary this year, and as part of the excitement, Disney announced the Galactic Starcruiser in Florida will finally open to the public starting in March 2022, though tickets go on sale way ahead of that date.

Those who may want to stay at the Galactic Starcruiser next year should set their sights on October 28, the date when tickets first open up. Stays at the hotel begin on March 1 and are likely to book fast due to the novelty and nature of this experience. It has previously been estimated experiences will start around at least $4,809 for a two-night stay, so keep that in mind when booking (or budgeting for a trip).

It's a pretty penny, yes, but aside from just looking cool—those pocket beds in the wall, those linens!—the hotel offers an experience like no other. Guests will essentially enter the Star Wars universe once they've checked in, and become a part of storylines as they interact with characters. "Throughout the voyage, guests' choices will determine their personal adventures as they interact with characters, crew, and other passengers they meet and become part of the action and the broader Star Wars saga," Disney explained in a press release. One such adventure? Learning to use a light saber!

Again, tickets go on sale to the general public on October 28, although Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Passholders, and Disney Visa cardholders can book rooms prior to that date.
