New CDC director: Work of vaccinating 100 million ‘has begun already’
With President Biden having promised 100 million COVID-19 vaccinations in 100 days, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, new director of the CDC, talks about the challenges of matching supply and eligibility and overcoming public “vaccine hesitancy.” While she promises the plan will proceed, she says, “I don’t think by late February we’re going to have vaccine in every pharmacy in this country.”
