Partners in Wine at Milk Bar

What: D.C. event and catering company Please Bring Chips and Milk Bar are teaming up for a night of wine and sweets at Milk Bar’s flagship location in Logan Circle.

Details: Along with “partners in crime,” couples and singles are also invited to attend. Each $35 ticket includes three pours of dessert wines curated by Please Bring Chips; treats by Milk Bar; and a discussion on pairing dessert wine with cheese and sweets by Elizabeth Parker of Williams Corner Wine. 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. 1525 15th Street NW

Bring Home the Bacon Happy Hour at Rock and Roll Hotel

What: Every Friday at the live music bar on H Street, patrons can roll the dice to determine how much they’ll pay for well cocktails, select wine or select beer — $1 for a 1, $2 for a 2, half-price for a 3 — and regular price for anything higher. Multiple rolls are allowed.

Monday, February 18

President’s Day Wine Tasting With Mangia DC Food Tours

What: Guests will take a trip to Lincoln Cottage (140 Rock Creek Church Road NW) — one of several sites where President Abraham Lincoln may have worked on the Emancipation Proclamation — for hors d’ouevers and olive oil tastings from Georgetown Olive Oil.

Tuesday, February 19

St. Jude 20th Annual Gourmet Gala

What: The National Building Museum will play host to St. Jude’s biggest annual fundraiser in D.C. — with a goal of over $1 million — to help make sure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food while their kids fight cancer.

Details: The evening includes a silent and live auction alongside cocktails and tastings served by top chefs at Charlie Palmer Steak, the Salt Line, Espita Mezcaleria, and Estadio. Tickets start at $500 and go up to $5,000 for a table of 10. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 401 G Street NW

Wednesday, February 20

Winemaker Dinner: George Gavalas of Gavalas Winery

What: Zaytinya welcomes George Gavalas of the award-winning Gavalas winery on the Greek islands of Santorini to pour his family’s liquid wares for one night only. A tasting menu by head chef Michael Costa will pair labels like Gavalas Xenoloo with rabbit and pork belly stifado (stew).

Details: Tickets are $90 per person. 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. 701 9th Street NW

Game Night at Pitango Gelato & Cafe

What: Every Wednesday, Pitango extends its happy hour menu from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., encouraging guests to play board games alongside gelato. Customers can also bring their own game.

Friday, February 22

TGIF With Margaritas in D.C.

What: To celebrate the national day devoted to the superstar drink, El Tamarindo will run a $2.22 special all day (1785 Florida Avenue NW). And downtown’s MXDC Cocina Mexicana is slashing regular prices to $6 to $12 each.

Details: Along with a cucumber jalapeno margarita (Don Julio blanco, MXDC cordial, house-made cucumber-jalapeno puree, agave and fresh lime juice), guests can take straight shots of Don Julio and other labels for $6 to $12 each. 600 14th Street NW
