Update, July 27, 2021: It's time to ring the alarm, y'all, because today is the day you have been waiting for. Popeyes is finally giving us all what we've been waiting for: Their own version of chicken nuggets!
If you happened to miss their announcement last week letting folks know that they were coming, the new release will be similar to that of the chain's chicken tenders, meaning they'll be made with seasoned white meat chicken breast pieces that have been hand-battered, breaded in buttermilk, and finished with a dip in some hot oil. The result? A crisp and golden palate-pleasing finish that'll taste both familiar and brand-new. Mmm, mmm, mmm!
As a reminder, you can get the new chicken nuggets starting July 27 (that's today!!) at all Popeyes locations in classic form or you can opt to choose from six different sauces to have them tossed in. You know, just in case you like your nuggets wet (as we say in the south!).

Original post, July 20: 2021: Those who are experimental with their food choices and those who are picky both can agree on one thing: Chicken nuggets are always a good idea. Fast food chains like Popeyes are known for their juicy and crispy chicken tenders, but now, the Louisiana Kitchen is set to launch chicken nuggets for the first time ever. Are you freaking out too?
Popeyes knows what they're doing when it comes to chicken what with their chicken sandwich changing the landscape of fast food in 2019, the hours they spend marinating their dry rub chicken, and the incredible family-sized meal boxes they offer for bigger occasions. Although Popeyes heading into the realm of chicken nuggets is really no surprise, it's incredibly exciting to know we'll soon be able to enjoy their perfected flavors in bite-sized pieces soon. It's no surprise that after the announcement, the Twitterverse blew up with both excitement and speculation about the new product. People are r-e-a-d-y for the nuggs.

Starting July 27, Popeyes locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada will all begin offering chicken nuggets. Similar to the chicken tenders, the nuggets will be made with seasoned white meat chicken breast pieces which are hand-battered and breaded in buttermilk then fried until crispy and golden brown.
Guests will also have the option of the classic chicken nuggets or an order of the nuggets prepared in a signature Popeyes sauce. Choose between Bayou Buffalo, BoldBQ, Blackened Ranch, Buttermilk Ranch, Mardi Gras Mustard, and Sweet Heat if you want even more flavor with your meal. Nuggets will be available in four-piece to 36-piece orders so you can stock up for yourself or share with your friends.
