It’s the time of year when—if you’re doing things right—you can barely carry home your farmers market tote because it’s so heavy. Tomatoes are as sweet as candy, stone fruit is dripping with juice, cucumbers are crisp as can be, and there are too many varieties of peppers to count. You could eat it all raw (that wouldn’t be the worst idea). Or you could employ some salt, maybe a little olive oil, and a handful of other pantry ingredients to make it sing.
