Father hopes to honor son's memory by helping homeless

Don Nahhas is on a mission to reach the homeless community and let them know they matter. The cause is a personal one for him. "Our son Josh was 32 when he passed away due to liver failure from alcoholism," Nahhas said. "He was homeless for about 10 years of his adult life." When Josh died in 2016, his family decided to honor him by creating blessing backpacks and handing them out to the homeless. The backpacks are full of the basic necessities, like deodorant, toilet paper and sunscreen. But they’re also providing a little bit of hope.
