Leah has a rare blood disease called severe congenital neutropenia, which makes her prone to infections. She’s had two bone marrow transplants in her lifetime, and has spent nearly a year in the hospital.

Leah remains positive through her health challenges, says her mother, Lindsay Carroll. When Leah has a tough moment, she tells herself, “I’ve got this.” She loves to sing, dance, and play the drums.

Carroll recorded her daughter singing, then sent the video to the contemporary Christian singer on her Facebook page. Mandisa replied to the Facebook video, saying, “it brought a smile to my face, tears to my eyes, and joy to my soul!” She shared the video with her fans, which now has more than 34 million views on Facebook.

It’s almost been a year since Leah’s last transplant. Carroll says her daughter is hopeful she’ll be able to go home from the hospital in April.
