When Carrie Underwood talks fitness, we listen: The country star is known just as much for her impossibly toned legs as she is for her multi-platinum albums. But that body didn't come without extreme dedication. Underwood's a vocal vegan, and she's even more outspoken about her love for exercise. So as aspirational as her routine is, it's always seemed just out of reach. That is, until she got real in an interview with E! recently.

"I used to work out six days a week, but now that's a little rare," she said. "Sometimes it's one or two times a week, and that just kind of has to be okay." Underwood seemed totally fine with the cutback, adding, "It is okay, because whatever I'm doing that's keeping me out of the gym is important."

In addition to her music career and clothing line, Underwood's two-year-old son Isaiah keeps her busy. "Three years ago, four years ago, I had a lot more time to be able to squeeze that in for me," she says about exercising. And now, even when she finds time, she tends to have a tiny party crasher. "He probably will, 90 percent of the time, wander into my workout session," Underwood laughed in her interview.

And just like any other working mom, on days when Underwood can escape, you'll find her doing squat after squat or lunging through her neighborhood walk.
